Brandon A. Smith is a seasoned executive operator and strategic advisor with more than 15 years of leadership across higher education, Edtech, SaaS, and AI-driven technology companies. He is the CEO of Integrity Advocate and the Founder/Principal Consultant at EdTechXperts, where he advises growth-stage and enterprise organizations on strategy, operations, revenue acceleration, compliance, and scalable infrastructure.
Throughout his career, Brandon has helped organizations move from early traction to operational maturity—building the systems, teams, and cross-functional alignment required to scale responsibly and sustainably.
As President & COO of Honorlock, Brandon led the company through a transformative period of hyper-growth, scaling ARR by 1103% ($2M to $20M in two years) and elevating the company from #236 to #103 on the Inc. 5000 list. He built and aligned revenue, operations, customer success, and product teams to support rapid expansion while maintaining institutional trust and regulatory compliance.
Previously, as President & COO of Enflux, he helped academic institutions and technology providers translate complex data into actionable strategy, driving measurable improvement in performance, retention, and accreditation outcomes. His earlier executive leadership roles at ExamSoft and Kaplan (KHEC) focused on assessment integrity, operational scale, regulatory readiness, and the modernization of academic systems.
Today, through his consultancy work, Brandon partners with organizations across Edtech, higher education, AI, and software development to design and optimize:
-Revenue Operations & Go-to-Market Strategy
-Sales Infrastructure & Performance Management
-Customer Success & Retention Systems
-Marketing Strategy & Demand Generation
-Product-Market Fit & Positioning
-Operational Scaling & Organizational Design
-HR, Payroll, and Talent Infrastructure
-Financial Planning, Forecasting & KPI Systems
-Compliance & Risk Management Frameworks
-Support & Service Delivery Optimization
Brandon’s approach blends executive-level strategy with hands-on operational execution. He works directly with founders, boards, and leadership teams to clarify growth strategy, align cross-functional operations, and build sustainable, metrics-driven systems that enable scale.
In launching EdTechXperts, Brandon expanded his impact beyond advisory work, creating a trusted platform and community that connects founders, operators, and buyers with actionable intelligence and authentic insights. What began as a curated newsletter addressing the gap between vendors and institutional decision-makers has evolved into a broader consulting and thought leadership ecosystem serving organizations across the innovation economy.
At the core of Brandon’s work is a simple principle: growth must be intentional, ethical, and operationally sound. Whether advising early-stage startups or established enterprises, he helps organizations build the internal infrastructure required to scale with integrity.
